Experience
Dr. Miller has over 20 years of experience in working with middle school, high school, and collegiate wind bands. He has served as the arranger and associate director of the Macy's Great American Marching Band in New York City since 2006. He was the brass caption head of the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps for five years. He was the director of the All-Star Band at the 100th annual Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington, D.C. He has appeared as a guest conductor and clinician in multiple concert honor bands and at countless high schools and universities throughout the United States.
Honor Band Clinician
Dr. Miller has experience with middle school, high school, and university honor bands. He will provide an excellent musical experience for your students, playing music that is challenging but approachable for student and performer alike.
Concert and Performance Assessment Preparation
As you prepare your ensemble for upcoming contests and other assessments, an extra pair of eyes and ears can be invaluable. Dr. Miller has some of the best ears in the business, and can provide you and your band with comments and instruction to help them reach the next level of performance.
Adjudicator
Dr. Miller has served as an adjudicator at marching and concert band assessment in Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi. He can provide positive and direct review of both musical and visual ensembles.
